The first step to combating dysregulation is to take responsibility for your feelings. It is no one's job to comfort you or ”make” you feel better. When you're dysregulated, even you can't make yourself feel better! How would anyone else?

This was similarly difficult for me to learn as an adult. Incredibly important, especially for the neurodivergent.
